In recent months the media has been reporting the doom and gloom situation of the housing market, but the true condition does not draw quite the same picture. Yes our numbers are up in specific regions, but in other regions our numbers have dropped. The trend of foreclosures are not universal. The trend may become universal in the future, but we are a bit away from knowing the true outcome. An article on MSN describes the top 100 metro areas and of those areas only 34 were above the group average and 51 areas had an average of less than 1%. Of the areas that are currently on the top 10 foreclosure list have seen a spike in foreclosures in the past 5 years. For a larger review of the current situation please see the link attached below.
